New Features of version 2
Oscillator
Exciton2's oscillators have cross-oscillator modulation features. OSC1 has SYNC switch to synchronize waveform phase to OSC2. OSC2 has an FM knob and can be modulated directly with OSC1 output. This enables a wide range of sound synthesis.
Filter
Band pass and band reject filters have been added for filter types. Saturation level and curves are now available for all filter types.
LFO1/2
LFO has many improvements. Now the waveform can be set as combination of six waves (64 combinations in total). Tempo sync and MIDI trigger switches are added for each LFO's. You can also set the waveform phase with MIDI triggers.
Assignable Modulation
The new section enables you enomous variety of sound creation. You can set 8 modulation routings from the following combinations.
- Source: ENV1/2, LFO1/2, Key, Velocity, Pitch Bend, Aftertouch(Ch/Poly), Control Change, Constant
- Sens: same as Source (without Constant)
- Destination: OSC1/2 pulsewidth/pitch, OSC2 FM, Mixer levels, Cutoff, Resonance, Saturation, Amplifier, ENV1/2 A/D/S/R, LFO1/2 speed/phase
Controller Map
You can control parameters with MIDI control change messages. 16 parameters can be directly mapped to MIDI control numbers. You can also "learn" a control number by sending a control message.
Others
- Main/Master section
- Number of programs: expanded to 512 (128 programs x 4 banks[A/B/C/D])
- Voice Detune parameter
- Bend Range: 0(disabled) to 24(2 Octaves)
- Envelope
- Decay Curve: 3 types
- Effect
- On/Bypass switch
- Delay time tempo sync switch
- Feedback connection switch
